Matikkala Cottages

Matikkala Cottages is a sustainable chalet in Ruokolahti, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The chalet offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi.The stay at the cottage was exceptional. The property is well maintained, clean, and greatly located with a ~10 minutes walk to the lake and around 10 minutes ride to the local grocery stores. We had our dog with us and there are a plethora of trails for everyone to enjoy (we visited in summer). The place was superbly equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay (and then some). The communication with the property manager and the owner was fantastic - they were extremely helpful (needed some assistance on running a few appliances and the internet) and super responsive.
